We provide a broad range of manufacturing capabilities and support both rapid prototyping and low-volume production needs. With our own factory and reliable suppliers, we deliver complex, high-quality parts efficiently.
Marine & Shipbuilding Component Development Guide
Focusing on commercial vessels, offshore platforms, naval ships, and marine equipment, this guide covers structural components, propulsion system parts, deck machinery, and corrosion-resistant fittings. It formulates core design specifications centered on marine environment durability, structural integrity, and long-term reliability to support the whole development cycle of custom marine parts from prototyping to class-approved production.
    01
Marine Corrosion Resistance & Material Selection
Select materials with proven seawater corrosion resistance — marine-grade stainless steel (316L, duplex 2205), aluminum bronze, nickel-aluminum bronze (NAB), and marine aluminum alloys (5083, 5086, 6061). Use copper-nickel alloys (CuNi 90/10, 70/30) for seawater piping systems. Apply anti-fouling and anti-corrosion coatings on exposed surfaces. Avoid galvanic corrosion by isolating dissimilar metals with appropriate barriers.
    02
    High-Strength Structural Integrity
Design load-bearing components to withstand dynamic wave loads, hull vibration, and extreme weather conditions. Apply finite element analysis for critical structures such as rudder stocks, propeller shafts, and crane pedestals. Incorporate reinforcement at high-stress concentration areas like hatch corners and bracket connections. Ensure weldability of selected materials and specify appropriate weld procedures and post-weld heat treatment where required.
    03
    Fatigue Resistance & Vibration Management
Consider long-term cyclic loading from wave action, propulsion system operation, and deck machinery vibration in the design stage. Optimize fillet radii and transition geometries to reduce stress concentration factors. Apply shot peening or other surface treatment methods to extend fatigue life of rotating and reciprocating components. Design mounting brackets with adequate damping characteristics to minimize vibration transmission to sensitive equipment.
    04
    Classification Society Compliance
Design according to rules of major classification societies — ABS, DNV, Lloyd's Register, CCS, or Bureau Veritas. Maintain full material traceability from mill certificates to finished parts. Prepare design documentation including drawing approvals, material test reports, and weld procedure specifications. Ensure all pressure-containing components meet relevant class requirements for hydrostatic testing and certification.
    05
    Maintenance Accessibility & Lifetime Serviceability
Design for ease of inspection and replacement in confined marine environments. Provide access openings and removable panels for routine maintenance of pumps, valves, and shaft bearings. Specify wear parts with reasonable service intervals and ensure spare part availability throughout vessel lifecycle. Incorporate corrosion allowance in critical thickness calculations to extend service life between dry dock intervals.
