Injection moulding is suitable for small to medium-volume production; in particular, vacuum casting allows for the rapid replication of silicone moulds without the need for steel moulds, making it a cost-effective solution. Die-casting, on the other hand, is suitable for the high-volume production of small to medium-sized metal parts, offering excellent dimensional consistency and a high surface finish. These processes complement CNC machining and 3D printing, catering to a range of production volume and cost requirements.

Vacuum casting utilises silicone moulds to produce parts with properties similar to those of various plastics and elastomers, including ABS, PP, PC, PMMA, POM, PU, silicone and rubber. It is suitable for functional prototype validation and small-batch production (typically 10–50 units).

We offer high-pressure die casting (HPDC), low-pressure die casting (LPDC), gravity die casting and sand casting. Commonly used metals include aluminium alloys, zinc alloys and magnesium alloys, enabling us to produce small to medium-sized metal components with complex geometries, high dimensional accuracy and excellent surface finish.

Typical tolerances for vacuum casting are ±0.1 mm; for die-cast parts, tolerances can range from ±0.05 mm to ±0.1 mm, depending on the material and mould precision. For critical mating surfaces, precision can be further improved to ±0.01 mm through subsequent CNC finishing.

The production of silicone moulds for vacuum casting typically takes 3–5 working days, although this can be reduced to 2–3 days for the first prototype; die-casting requires the creation of a steel mould first, which involves a longer lead time (approximately 3–6 weeks). Specific lead times depend on the complexity of the parts, the quantity required and any post-processing requirements; we will clarify these details when providing a quotation.
